CLIMBING THE Nevado Huascaran (6768 m)

DESCRIPTION:
The Nevado Huascaran is one of the aspirations most requested by the
mountaineers, and one of the highest mountains in South America, has a technical
difficulty and each year vary the terms of their access in all the Cordillera
Blanca mountains, but equally by the normal route is access is very difficult
and has a wonderful view of the valley of the Callejon de Huaylas.
Itineraries
Difficulty: Easy AND DIFFICULT
DAY 1:
Pick up airport and transfer to hotel in Lima.
DAY 2:
Departure of Lima Huaraz wings 13:00 hours, arriving in Lima at 21:00 hours,
transfer to Hotel
DAY 3:
After desayudo Huaraz left by bus early heading north to Cebollapampa where to
begin the ascent to Camp 1, maximum field of rapprochement to attack the summit
the next day.
DAY 4:
begin the ascent before dawn, walked across the moraine until the beginning of
snow where we PC and start the ascent to the summit. Arriving at the summit
before noon, the view from here is very beautiful, because there are mountains
of the most important white mountain range, as well as the Nevado Huascaran our
next goal. 1 return to the camp where a delicious dinner and take a deserved
rest.
DAY 5:
After a repairman desayudo unmount the camp and return to Huaraz.
DAY 6:
Rest day.
DAY 7:
After we left desayudo Huaraz bus heading north of the town of Mancos, where he
will take the diverted to the city of mush, here are beginning the ascent of
approximately 5 to 6 hours of walking up to basecamp aided by donkeys and
muleteers. The first camp is 4500 meters above sea level.
DAY 8:
It began its ascent in the snow until 1 camp which lies at an altitude of 5200
meters high. Here install our camp.

DAY 9:
This day care is because eventually will go through an entire portion of Seracs
to arrive at the throat of about 5900 meters above sea level, where the camp to
continue to install the next day to attack the summit.
DAY 10:
start the day very early to take advantage of the darkness that keeps frozen and
snow is the time needed to reach the summit before noon. Since the summit if the
day is cloudy and it is not clear we will have a spectacular view and varied, in
the north and south we can see all the mountains of the Cordillera Blanca and
appreciate the horizon to the west coast, the end of the marine horizon then
ascend to the throat again to celebrate one of the most beautiful summits of the
world and take a deserved rest.
DAY 12:
This day will descend to 6000m. going through all the seracs, which descend
route carefully, down to basecamp, which is 4500 meters above sea level. This
will be our camp 5.
DAY 13:
descend to the people of mush here celebrating the summit with a rich Pachamanca,
typical food of the Pachamama, done within the land and ancestral tradition, the
victory of climbing and the satisfaction of having been at the summit of the
snowy Peru's highest.
Rest to
Huaraz.
DAY 14:
Return to
Lima.
