TREKS
FOR ACCLIMATIZATIONS IN 1 OR 2 DAYS
LAKE
CHURUP (01 or 2 days)
This is an
excellent options for getting acclimatization, Lake Churup is one of the most
beautiful lakes located in the National Park of Huascaran.
LOCATION:
At 17 km. northeast of Huaraz city.
HEIGHT:
4,485m.
DURATION:
3 hours walking from Pitec.
Departure
from Huaraz city by bus or walking 14km to Pitec 3,600 m.a.s.l. Arrival to
Churup Lake that has a nice colour, also we can observe the Churup montain, from
this place we can observe the Huaraz city. You can do this trek for one day or
two days. Back to Huaraz by bus.
LAKE
69 (01 or 02 days)
This
is another options for getting acclimatization you can take
the tour for 1 or 2 days. In Lake 69 you can appreciate the
most interesting mountains located in the National Park of
Huascaran as well as Huandoy, Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Pisco,
Chacraraju.

East of Yungay city

5 hours hiking
Departure from Huaraz
city by bus we will be pass for Carhuaz, Yungay and lake
Llanganuco. Start to walk to Quebrada Demanda and finally to
Lake 69 is located near of Chacraraju mountain from this
site you have a nice view of the mountains as well Huandoy,
Huascaran, Chopicalqui, etc. If you want you can get one
night in tents. Return to Huaraz city by bus on the way we
will do a short stop in Llanganuco and Yungay.

Departure by
bus to Pastoruri, on the way weŽll visit
Recuay, Ticapampa, Catac
villages, Quebrada Pachacoto and also the Puyas of Raymondi, a short
colour lagoon, cave paintings. Start to walk until Pastoruri freezing at
4,750 meters then we continue going up until the top at 5,200 meters, from this
place we can observe the Huayhuash mountain range and Huaspasca mountain at
5,366 meters, we can play in the snow and finally return to Huaraz city by bus. |
